If it's new in consumer electronics, it's going to be here: Las Vegas in early January. We leave winter behind and go hunting.

You know what? Our coverage of Vegas 2001 includes 14 pages this year. Yes, 14, of which four are in full color. Can I cover even a fraction of that in this online piece? Not a chance.
But what I can do is show you a few of the picturesI brought back. For instance:

Though audio journalists are notoriously blasé about (yet another) new speaker, these two grabbed my attention.
On the left is a French speaker from Quatuor. It's expensive - just under US$10K - but it kept me spellbound with its musicality and its finesse. No North American distribution just yet.
On the right is a speaker from Living Voice. It looks ordinary (except for its outboard crossover!), but it sure doesn't sound ordinary. If there are some things this speaker doesn't know how to do well, I sure don't know what they are.
But I really love to find speakers and other products that (unlike these) don't look just like other speakers. But I don't want to overload this page with large graphics, so...just turn the page...
